Richard Sharratt - Lead Mediator, Practitioner, Coach & Founder
In 2003, I joined the British Army and qualified as an HR Administrator within the Staff and Personnel Support branch of the services. During my time in the military I gained a wealth of knowledge about the effect of stress on relationships and the impact of separation on people. I dealt with many cases involving welfare, coaching and family separations including the emotional aspects.
I gained qualifications in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Adult & Child Counselling (Advanced), Life Coaching and Trauma Risk Management. I also have Level 5 in Leadership and Management.
I left the Army in 2017 and opened my own practice helping people with individual and family therapy.
I also decided to pursue a new career in Family Mediation qualifying in 2017.
Outside work, I love to spend time with my family, I enjoy learning and frequently find myself starting new courses. I love to read and am currently volunteering with a charity working with veterans in Hampshire.
Samantha Brown - Mediator
(Somerset & Dorset)
My career started in Adult Social Care 20 years ago, since then I have worked in this sector helping people at quite often the most difficult times of their lives helping them to problem solve and look at how they can move forward with their future.
I qualified as a social worker in 2012. I have a passion for working with people and mediation has allowed me to transfer the skills I have already obtained whilst building in new ones.
I qualified as a mediator in 2016 and I continue to work towards my accreditation which demonstrates the highest standard of mediation. I am a member of the Family Mediation Council and the College of Mediators.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family. I volunteer at my children’s school helping with fund raising events. I also enjoy spending time away in my touring caravan.
Suzie Freeland - Mediator
I have worked in the Public Sector and on the front line since leaving School many years ago. A real people person with a passion for fairness and the belief that if something is worth doing, it is worth doing well.
I attended a Community Mediation Course in August 2018 and have since completed a course in Restorative Justice. From there I sourced an Accredited Course provider in Family Mediation and became a Family Mediator in January 2019 and I continue to work towards my accreditation.
I love nothing more than spending quality time with my family and friends. I enjoy spending as much time as I can outdoors, whether that is a simple walk to my local beach or spending time gardening.
